He was a farmer and lived in Preston all his life; large landowner in Preston, Groton and Can terbury [from FSP p. 43]
His will, made 5 Feb 1757 and filed in Norwich, 5 Dec 1769, mentioned his wife, Eliphel; gav e to son Ruben, 'Land in Canterbury where he now dwells, to son Simeon land in Canterbury whe re he now lives; to sons Asa and Abijah, the homestead in Preston.' He also mentions son Pete r and daughters Sarah Cook, Eunice Park and Mary Park
